The Widow - John Grisham

Like all Grisham books, this one was engaging and like all good novels it kept you guessing. In this case, whether the hapless widow actually had the wealth that a scrounging attorney could scam in drawing up her estate documents. I got the impression this was an easy, throw-away production for Grisham. There were elements that echoed some prior themes. By any other author, this would be a stellar accomplishment. For him, it feels pedestrian. Nevertheless, as with all his novels, it's well done and entertaining.
